Our Journey...

genCity Brochure

In May 1992, fifty-four people gathered on the steps of Leon Valley Community Center for the sole purpose of creating a new kind of church... a church that looked different... sounded different... truly welcomed and cared for those who were far from God. One month later, BRCC held it's first service with 150 gathered in the cafeteria of Leon Valley Elementary School. It was an exciting beginning but the journey would not always be easy.

Within a year, BRCC stood at a crossroads. We were told the church would have to find a new place to meet. During this time of need God provided unexpectedly and miraculously. After twelve weeks of prayer, our young church raised enough money to complete construction of a new 500-seat auditorium. The first service was held on December 18th, 1994.

Today, over 5000 people of all ages and from all walks of life attend weekend services. Weather on the Bandera Road Compus or the new Downtown Campus, people's lives are impacted through weekend services, Recovery Ministries, NextGen ministry, serving the poor, Beautiful Feet, small groups, social action and more.

Now it's Our Turn.
